Another stellar week out here in Evansville !! so many miracles this week!

miracle #1- this week we were going to visit a woman that we had heard wasn't very nice so we walked up to her house and there was a boy on the porch & we said iakwe and his eyes lit up and he goes wow come in SO we went in & started talking to 3 of the sweetest teenage girls & then we asked if their parents were their and they were sleeping so we said we would come by another day. as we were leaving we ran into two people from a school that said excuse me did you just come from there because we need help & sister hassler says, "do you need a translator?" & they said, "yes that is exactly what we need!!" so we went back and helped and then the mom came out & the kids & so we asked if we could share a quick message w/ them & they said yes!! so we shared ether 12:27 and talked about how the Savior can strengthen us & make our weak things strong & they were such a sweet little family !! they said we could definitely come back & study w/ them again !!

miracle #2- we were on our way to visit someone we had visited probably exactly 492650174 times & somehow we got lost.. like super lost, like 5 roads down from where we thought we were & we happened to drive by one of our friends house & thought we should stop by and see her. so we got there right as she was getting home & we talked to her for a little bit & she expressed that she has really been struggling and some super hard things have happened to her the past couple days. so we got to testify to her of the strength the Savior has in her life and the crucial & important role he plays. we were able to kneel & pray w/ her on her porch & in that moment I just knew that the Savior loved her so much and was right there w/ her walking her through her difficulties. she told us somehow when she is struggling the most we always show up even if she doesn't want us to haha but that she is always grateful we do. I am so so so grateful for the guidance & direction of the spirit because without that, spreading the gospel would not be possible. our friend said when she first started studying w/ the missionaries she told her mom, "why do they keep coming back? maybe if I ignore them they won't come back." to which her mom responded, "no Lina you do not understand, this is what they do, they will NEVER stop coming back." ahahhaahh she told us that story a couple days ago & said she is SO grateful that we did keep coming back so that she could have the knowledge of the gospel that she has now!!

story- a member of our ward was going to drop dinner off a couple days ago to the elders & they were in the back fishing because it was pday & they thought the member would text them when they got there but they never got a text so they went back inside like 15 minutes later & they walked up the stairs and found a bunch of food on their kitchen table & they were thinking um where did this come from.... but long story short the sweet member has somehow broken in & walked up the stairs & put the food on their table hahaha. I am not sure why but I really thought that was the funniest thing ever. i am SO grateful for my ward, i LOVE them!!

thought- the past transfer what kinda of a bit crazy for sister hassler & I. we kinda felt like we were all over the place & it has been hard to figure out what the Lord wants us to do w/ the bits of direction he has given us. but this week during my studies i was reading in 3 Nephi 17 when Jesus Christ ministers in America & one of my favorite parts is when he is going about healing people & praying for them. he becomes so close to those people & loves them so much & the most important thing to him is just showing his love to those people & helping them. first and formost I need to trust that the Lord is good with what we are doing because he is walking with us & praying for us & he is not going to lead us somewhere he doesn't want to be or somewhere he doesn't want us to be. & as we follow the Savior's example of allowing our charity to motivate our every action, we will be in the right places & will be led to say the right things. with him we will make the right decisions and be led down the path he knows will make us happiest. trusting the Lord has so much more to do w/ charity than I ever realized before. charity & love are everything.
