Old Kentucky Roads

I finally made it to Kentucky!! It is a special kind of beautiful and I love it. It's been quite the week that's for sure, I'm not even really sure where to start. We had our last few days of class in the MTC which were amazing and I really miss my district and my amazing teachers. I loved the MTC and it is definitely one of my favorite places on earth. The spirit is always so strong there and I learned so much that I will never forget. We left the MTC Monday morning at about 5:30 a.m. and we flew into Kentucky at 5:30 p.m. The weather felt amazing and I'm so glad to be back in humid weather. No offense to Utah but I wasn't appreciating it. But anyways, we got to the mission home Monday night and it is the cutest little home built in the 1960's with brick walls and all. My mission president is President Hughes and him and his wife are absolutely amazing. I am so grateful for them and their testimonies of the gospel. I am so grateful I got sent here. They call ...

Reflections of the Master

Only 3 more days YAY! Another amazing week of eating, sleeping, and going to class. Once again it is hard to specifically describe the feelings that I am having. I am grateful for the feelings I can get from the spirit that allows me to feel so strongly about how much I really love the gospel. We had the opportunity to hear from Sharon Eubank on Sunday for our devotional and I LOVE her. One thing I loved that she talked about was a certain type of clay sculpting (I can't remember what it is called) wher...

The MTC Grind

This week has flown by but also somewhat felt like about a year. It's been a tough week but also one of the best weeks. Sometimes I feel like I am trying to drink out of fire hydrant and attempting to get as much as I can, of course not getting it all, but I have honestly LOVED it. Highlights from this week would definitely have to be: 1: We had Indian food for dinner, TWICE 2: I learned that I have a lot to learn (but that's okay) 3: I got a lot of sleep of course 4: I ate a lot of bagels 5: We had class outside one day!! I'm having a difficult time putting into words the feelings I have felt this week. Even though I am just eating, sleeping, and learning I have felt an unreal level of joy and happiness just to be having the opportunity to be here. Even though my days don't sound all that exciting I couldn't imagine myself being anywhere else and they are more than exciting to me. I have learned so much in such a short time and it has been incredibly ...
