Today marks 5 months !! it's been such a crazy week wow!! we dropped off Sister Gordon on Tuesday and she headed out to Shelbyville, we miss her lots. I got to pick up my new companion on Friday!! her name is Sister Brunsdale and she is from Utah and she has been out about 10 months. I love her!! & we are super excited for this transfer. she's one of those people that you just wonder why are they so nice? it's been kinda crazy to think that I have spent my whole mission in this area and at the end of this transfer I will have spent a third of my mission here.... also sad news- President and Sister Hughes are going home tomorrow:( but President and Sister Alder get here tonight & we are SUPER excited for them !! ALSO Byron got baptized on Wednesday WOOHOO, greatest day of my life. so many good things. Changes are coming, we have got a crazy looking week next week! We got transfer calls and I'm losing Stevie (and Sister Gordon and Sister Woolley I guess) jk I will miss them a crap ton:( and I will be headed "back" to the blessed land of Woodhaven. It's hard to think of what to write when the week feels like it lasted for a minute. Ever since we have been able to get out again time has been moving so fast!! GOOD NEWS- the guy we always go on bike rides with is one of my absolute favorite people ever. We have been able to have some super cool experiences with him this week. He has been meeting with missionaries for about 30 years and when I first got into this area the elders serving there before basically said don't worry about him, he won't ever be baptized & guess what??!! He is on target to be baptized this Wednesday!! If y'all could keep Byron in your prayers that would be awesome!! he is the absolute best, it's been my favorite experiences ...

Invested In The Journey

Well, this week lasted about a minute, time is flying!! Pretty sure I've had a sunburn all week. Our 60/40 has more so turned unto a 100 so basically we are doing everything yay!! we got a new ride somehow, the plus side is she's got no tiwi shhhhh. stevie is a beauty. We had a lesson with the greatest guy this week! I love him. We read 3 Nephi 17 with him and talked about the Savior's ministry and it was so powerful. He couldn't stop smiling and at one point he put his hands over his face and all he could say was God is so good! I can't describe in words the spirit that was present and the joy that was felt. another blessing!! Right after we finished reading with him about 5 little kids came over and asked if they could pray with us. Holding hands with those little kids and being in prayer with them was a VERY special moment for me. Doctrine and Covenants 6:32 says, "where two or three are gathered together in my name, as touching one thing, behold, there wi...

Acting In All Diligence

Its SO good to be out again finally!! Its starting to get a little crazy how much God blesses us. Kinda blows my mind everyday. I don't have tons of time today because we got to go cut some people's hair BUT this week I am lacking words but can I just say, God is SO good!! I was reading such a good talk this week titled, Act In All Diligence by Henry B. Eyring. One of my favorite parts is where he says, "Whenever I am tempted to feel that I have finished some hard task in His service and deserve a rest, the Savior's example gives me courage to press on." The Savior truly is the  PERFECT  example for us. This week I have just been amazed at how perfect Heavenly Father's plan is for me and everyone. I have been very grateful for the lift and comfort the Savior brings to me during trials and tribulation. Alma 36:3 says, "whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted ...

Miracles On Miracles

We're back!! Update: we are now in what one would call a 60/40 and we can basically do everything except tract! YAY!! as far as missionary work goes with the protesting and riots going on, we are kinda a couple blocks from them so we just have to be in our apartment by 9 and avoid those areas. well I thought last week was crazy until I got to this one. but y'all, what an amazing week! Heavenly Father is SO aware it blows my mind every day. Miracle #1 In our district chat we have a daily challenge and a couple days ago our challenge was to find a person named Jordan. We searched high and low. We visited every Jordan we know (6) and called every Jordan we know and nobody was home and nobody answered. So we searched the name Jordan Johnson on white pages because there's gotta be a Jordan Johnson and we found one like a mile away so we were pumped and then were on our way! Little did we know he lived in a little sketch area oops and unluckily he wasn't home either. It wa...
