Christmas season has finally started !! you better believe I have been listening to all the Christmas songs (hymns) ALL week !! good news- leka got baptized yesterday !! she is the absolute sweetest & she is brilliant. she is fluent in marshallese and English and soon chinese because her mother is marshallese and her father is chinese. there are the sweetest little family ever, definitely one of the MANY blessings of my mission. story time- after Leka's baptism elder samano forgot to pull the plug in the font & we realized that when we came back to the church later that night. so we knew at that point we needed to unplug it, so I grabbed the tool to unplug it and may have accidentally dropped it in the font. then we knew the only tool we had was my arm so I went down to grab it and soon realized my face would need to go underwater to reach the plug. I was wearing a sweater over my dress so sister hassler told me to throw it to her so at least that didn't get wet. so I t...

Yet again another heavenly week in Heavensville. definitely cannot complain. exciting news- Justin got baptized on Saturday YAY !! their family is seriously the best. a little bit ago we were at there house & I thought one of them was just playing with my hair but come to realize about 30 minutes later my hair was being filled with gel. at that point at look at my dear companion, sister hassler and see that she too has been given a beautiful hairdo. the best part was that right after that we had an appointment with the stake president. story- we were moving a marshallese family and just had our car & the elders car to move stuff so we were making trips back and forth and then we ran into 3 king sized mattresses and thought uhuh that's not going to happen. so we got ahold of a truck but could only take one load so we loaded the 3 king mattresses and a couch in there without straps and with only the hand of the Lord involved did that arrive there safely as we drove on a very ...

Little highlights but this week we had MLC (mission leadership conference) & interviews w/ President & Sister Alder which are always amazing !! they are such spiritual giants and my biggest examples !! miracle !!! so about two months ago we got to go to that keemem (that HUGE marshallese party) & there was a little girl who was SO adorable and she kinda followed us around all night but we didn't know where she came from. as we were leaving I had the blanket they gave us wrapped around me and I turned around and she was under the blanket walking behind me to the car & right after that I turned to sister hassler & I said we have to find where she lives and teach her family because she is so cute!! so a couple days ago we were contemplating going to visit this family that hadn't been visited in a long while and we almost didn't go but we decided to go. so I knocked on the door and that little girl answered the door!!!! my insides were screaming, I was freak...

Built On His Gospel

kinda a little bit crazy but there was a small breakout of missionaries in our mission getting covid so almost the whole mission is quarantined right now. BUT we are the lucky ones that aren't !! we have seen many miracles from this past week. our whole district is in quarantine except us so the first day of quarantine we said we were going to go triple as hard for the other companionships in quarantine. so that day Heavenly Father blessed us & the work so much. three people that day accepted dates to be baptized & they are super excited !! I was reflecting on my mission a bit this week & I remember my first couple days in the field thinking to myself as I sat at my little dinky kitchen table that my biggest fear is that I will hate the next 18 months of my life. fast forward 9 months & I am currently sitting at a different kitchen table with two dogs at my feet & a baby screaming & instead my thought is I am the happiest person in the world. there is a vers...

I hit my halfway this past week!! SO crazy & I can't believe it. it has been the best and the hardest 9 months of my life. as I reflect on all that the last 9 months has meant to me, my heart is filled with so much joy to be apart of this miraculous work. the amount of joy and rest I have recieved from the restored gospel is more than words could possibly ever describe. these past 9 months have truly been a dream. I would want nothing to change about every experience I have had. there have been people that have entered my life that I cannot imagine not knowing and loving. I thank Heavenly Father everyday for providing me with the strength to serve a mission. I wish I could just allow all of you to just be able to feel the reality of my joy about this gospel !!! I love this gospel so much. I love my Savior so much. I am beyond lucky to be able to serve Him everyday. something someone said to me this week was, "the language of the spirit is more important than any language w...
